Bringing our love for learning and growing food to you!
Author: Baby Greens Family Farm
We're a family dedicated to growing healthy, delicious and incredible organic food for our family and hopefully yours. We strongly believe in finding long-term sustainable ways to improve our everyday lives and for our planet.
It is so very important to us that our microgreens get to you in the very best condition so that they’re fresh, crisp, healthy and delicious. So it’s important that you do your part while we definitely do ours.
Because we’re a small farm our delivery radius is small for now. Merrillville is our central delivery spot so we currently deliver west of I-65, north to the lake, east along Highway 30 to the border of IN/IL and to some parts of Crown Point. If you are close but not within our delivery range right now, contact us! Let us know you are interested and we will see what we can do. No guarantees but contacting us is a tremendous help. We’re currently delivering to Valparaiso weekly near downtown.
We provide contact free delivery by providing you with the delivery date in enough time for you to put out your cooler. The cooler also allows you the freedom of not having to be home to receive delivery of the microgreens. The cooler is a must to keep delivery flowing well so we suggest keeping it by the door the night before.
For as much as we’d love to provide our microgreens without any additional fees, we must at this time in order to afford delivery to you. We’re a small farm right now with big goals that will hopefully wipe out future delivery fees. Until then, thank you for understanding.
GROUP DELIVERY! We’re trying out a service we’re calling group delivery. If you would like to make an order but it will be less than $40/month individually, then you can gather a group of friends, family, neighbors and/or even co-workers together to receive our microgreens. We’d deliver to one set location. The minimum monthly total for the group must be at least $40. Each person will still individually place an order. You would add the name of the pre-approved delivery representative to your delivery order form. We can get it to hopefully work for all of us!
What makes microgreens more impactful than its full-grown version? “Researchers found microgreens like red cabbage, cilantro, and radish contain up to 40 times higher levels of vital nutrients than their mature counterparts,” https://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20120831/tiny-microgreens-packed-nutrients#1. “All of these nutrients are extremely important for skin, eyes, and fighting cancer and have all sorts of benefits associated with them,” says researcher Gene Lester, PhD, of the USDA. And let’s not forget that they’re delicious! Below we have what you can expect to find in each type of green we offer.

We all love a great deal, right? The best deals are typically free and include a meal (whatever helps mama out is dessert!). So, with that said we will have posts about different events or locations that are hosting free or seemingly free events. My Sable Village, LLC is not responsible if the event falls short of ANY of your expectations. We are merely a conduit for possibly awesome information. First up, Cabela’s in Hammond, IN. As I was browsing their website I noticed a calendar with the word “free” beaming in several spots. So go to, http://www.cabelas.com to find the Hammond store and check it out for yourself.
